Carolyn James
Carolyn earned her Registered Nursing degree from Alexandria Technical & Community College and has more than 15 years of experience in long-term care and assisted living. She enjoys helping students understand the material through engaging, real-world instruction while building the skills and confidence to succeed. Carolyn encourages future CNAs to give themselves grace as they learn and believes a positive attitude, compassion, and a willingness to learn are key to providing exceptional care. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time at the lake with her family, and cheering on her daughters at dance competitions.
Nicole Harris
Nicole earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and brings more than 26 years of experience in long-term care, home care, hospitals, and clinic settings. She loves helping students build their skills and confidence in a fun, supportive learning environment. Nicole encourages future CNAs to be patient with themselves and believes compassion and kindness are the foundation of exceptional care. Outside of work, she enjoys crochet, knitting, fishing, hard rock music, and spending time with her family and cat.
Emy Lanners
Emy earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Leadership and Management and brings more than 15 years of experience in long-term care, hospitals, memory care, nursing education, and clinical instruction. She is passionate about teaching and creating an engaging, supportive classroom where students gain the knowledge and confidence to succeed. Emily encourages future CNAs to value teamwork, never cut corners, and recognize the important role they play in healthcare. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, Minnesota Twins games, and spending time with her family and pets.
Dania Opitz
Dania is a Registered Nurse with 13 years of experience in home care, assisted living, and memory care. She loves sharing her knowledge and helping students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed as compassionate nursing assistants. Dania believes becoming a CNA is an excellent first step into healthcare and encourages students to keep learning and exploring new opportunities. Outside of work, she enjoys home improvement projects, volunteering with Doberman rescue, and spending time with her family and pets.
